Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sparkling Wine from Gloria Ferrer displays lots of tiny streaming bubbles. It opens with a faint pink grapefruit and lemon verbena bouquet with hints of wet granite and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, clean, creamy, and graceful. The flavor profile is croissant and baked apple blend with notes of chalky minerality and saline. We also detected hints of honey, toast, and touch of spice. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely.
