Wine Review: This Blanc de Blancs from Gloria Ferrer is a straw color and opens with lots of tiny streaming bubbles that endlessly spiral upward. On the nose, it features brioche and pear with notes of toasted marshmallow. On the palate it is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is warm, rich, round and creamy. The flavor profile is toasty oak with notes of pear, golden delicious apple, and bread dough. The finish is dry and brightly acidic as it lingers for a while. We would pair this sparkler with Stuart’s summer cheesecake topped with blueberries and raspberries. - Karen & Stu
