Wine Review: This dark ruby colored entry level Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with a fragrant black raspberry and stewed plum bouquet with hints of oak and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. Its edges are rounded, and the fruit is fresh and very juicy. Those flavors are a spiced black plum and ripe black raspberry blend with notes of stony minerality and oak. I also detected hints of clove and black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and moderate tannins linger for a while in your mouth. This Pinot will pair well with a charcuterie platter with manchego cheese. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This second-label wine is a blend of barrels that did not fit well stylistically with the regular J. Christopher bottlings. The winemaking and fruit sources are the same for all the wines, but the JJ is typically a blend of barrels that are more fruit-forward.
