Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from J. Christopher opens with a red plum and red raspberry bouquet with a hint of grenadine and teaberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty red plum and strawberry blend with notes of clove stony minerality, and cinnamon. We also detected some hints of rhubarb, mushroom, and oolong tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger nicely before drifting away. This Pinot is very versatile and food friendly. I would pair it with a pan-seared duck breast with plum sauce. Enjoy – Ken
