Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from J. Davies is Excellent! It opens with a beef bone broth and black currant bouquet with hints of blackberry and bacon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and opulent. The flavor profile is a very tasty black cherry and mild graphite blend with notes of black plum and nutmeg. We also detected hints of blueberry and Heath bar. The finish is dry and its classy, refined tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel feels this Cab is a tremendous solo sipper. With food we would pair this Diamond Mountain Cab with a beef bourguignon, or Stuart's beef wellington. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2019 J. Davies Estate Cabernet opens with voluptuous black fruit-blueberry, black cherry, boysenberry and plum-accentuated by undertones of chocolate, cinnamon, blackberry compote, espresso, dark cocoa, clove, and subtle herbs. Supple tannins anchor the wines well-structured palate, with vibrant flavors of red fruit and spice leading to a rich, long finish.
