Wine Review: This dark mahogany colored Grenache based blend from J. Dusi opens with a dark chocolate and Dr. Pepper bouquet with hints of dark black plum, violets, and fresh tobacco leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fruit forward. The flavor profile is tart red plum and red currant blend with notes of cranberry, red licorice, and black tea. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would serve this crowd pleasing and full throttle red blend with pork roast, osso buco, or with braised short ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet in color, this Rhone blend has an essence of licorice and dried flowers on the nose. This wine opens with bright cherry chased with toasted nuts. It rolls into clove and dark chocolate on the mid palate, followed by deep notes of cranberry and pomegranate on the finish.
