Wine Review: I saw Joe Carr at this year’s Boston Wine Expo. He thought this year’s Cab might be his best Cab yet. My small group of tasters was in agreement. The best part is it is so affordable. There are not too many 91 point $20 Cabs out there. The wine is very dark ruby colored and it opens with a fragrant blueberry bouquet with a hint of black raspberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very well balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with notes of black pepper and blueberry throughout. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for sometime. We thought this elegant Cab would be fine choice with veal marsala. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This wine displays a deep purple hue, and has great clarity for wine that is traditionally unfiltered. The bouquet offers scents of ripe black currant, smoke and saddle. Flavors include dark cherry and ripe plum flavors with a hint of vanilla and cocoa dust. Firm but approachable tannin structure accents a balanced and long finish.
