Wine Review: This dark burgundy colored red blend from South Africa is a very good value wine. It opens with a fragrant red raspberry bouquet with hints to black cherry and a touch of smoky oak. On the palate, the wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and fills your mouth with juicy fruits. That fruit flavor is mainly ripe red plum with notes of cedar. I also detected some mild red raspberry and strawberry licorice mixed in. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and mild tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine is food friendly and would be perfect with pulled pork sliders. Enjoy - Ken
