Wine Review: This inky purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Kelleher opens with a black pepper and black currant bouquet with hints of stone dust, blackberry, and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is grainy stone dust, black currant, and black licorice blend with notes of black tea and oak. We also detected hints of blackberry and black pepper. The finish is dry, and its dusty fine-grained tannins are very nicely prolonged. Initially, this comes across as very Bordeaux in style. With aeration, the fruit develops nicely into the mix. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon has power and finesse, having aged for two years in barrel and three years in bottle before release. The tannins are chalky and fine, making this wine very approachable now with potential to age for another 10 years. On the nose, aromas of baking spices and mocha jump out of the glass along with black plum and gravely minerality. The palate is brighter with more red fruits, black pepper, and balanced acidity.
