Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Syrah from down under opens with a fragrant mild blackberry bouquet with hints of smoky vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild boysenberry with notes of blueberry and a touch of mild oak and blackberry. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are nicely prolonged. The panel suggested that this tasty Syrah would pair well with a prime rib. Enjoy - KWGTP

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
