Wine Review: I tried this tasty Merlot during a blind tasting when I was in Sonoma this summer. It was very dark ruby colored and opens with is a smoky blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, elegant, and smooth. The flavor profile is a smoky blueberry with a touch of old oak. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins are pleasantly persistent. Pair this Merlot in the near term with filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This beautiful Russian River Merlot offers the most enticing aromas of coffee and toffee before diving into a bold baked cherry pie with accents of strawberry and cranberry that transition into a creamy finish packed with cherry, vanilla, molasses and toasted oak.
