Wine Review: This Zin from Lodi is an absolute fruit bomb. It is opaque and very dark purple colored Zin opens with black raspberry and mild menthol and twig like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very juicy and its fruit flavors explode in your mouth. Those flavors are a ripe blackberry with notes of red currant, menthol, and black pepper. I also detected hints of cedar and cola in the background. The finish is dry and its bold flavors linger well after the wine is gone. This Zin will really appeal to fruit bomb fans. I would pair it with a tangy pulled pork sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is a medium bodied wine with lush, modest tannins. Aromas of raspberry, dark fruit, black pepper and spicy oak greet the taster. Flavors in the glass are of bright red berries, cassis and toasty oak notes followed by a long, lingering finish showing hints of red cherries and spices.
