On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe black cherry and red raspberry blend with layers of acai and blueberry. The finish is rather dry and its jammy flavors and chalky tannins linger for a quite some time after the wine is gone. One reviewer thought it remaindered him of a Zin. So we both decided to recommend it with a messy rack of barbecue baby back ribs. Enjoy - Ken Winemaker Notes: A saturated and brilliant purple color, the 2009 Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley Proprietary Red Wine offers distinctive aromatics of blackberry, white pepper, and Earl Grey tea. On the rich mid-palate, layers of dark fruit and spice are framed by sweet, velvety tannins which lead to a long finish.
