Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and midnight purple colored Syrah based blend from McPrice Myers opens with a black currant and black cherry bouquet with hints of cinnamon, lingonberry, tobacco leaf. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and polished. The flavor profile is complex blend of blueberry, Dr. Pepper, and oak with notes of cedar, dried herbs, espresso, and chocolate. The finish is dry, and its fine grained tannins stick around for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Red Blend with a porterhouse steak or with The Old Mill’s roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. We also think this a nice sipper for by the fire this winter. Enjoy – KWGTP
