Wine Review: This very dark red colored Syrah based blend from McPrice Myers opens with a cherry-cola and chocolate bouquet with hints of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and oolong tea blend with notes of cedar, black licorice, and menthol. I also detected some hints of boysenberry and vanilla cola. The finish is rather dry and its bold and dusty tannins stick around for a very long time. I would decant this big boy in the near term and serve it with a well marbled-ribeye steak. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: In the Willow Creek District lies Paper Street Vineyard. The limestone-white hills, hot days, and cool nights make for concentrated, vibrant, and mineral-driven wines. This wine features raspberry coulis, rose petal, passion fruit, peach-blackberry cobbler, fresh blueberries, singed cedar, fresh ground nutmeg, Iberico ham, sweet mint, silky, persistent, energetic, juicy, with great height on the finish.
