Wine Review: This almost clear colored Sauvignon Blanc from Merry Edwards opens with a fragrant pink grapefruit, pineapple, and guava bouquet with hints of cap gun ammo and peach. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, creamy and almost lush. The flavor profile is a gentle dried pineapple and mango blend with notes of saline and pink grapefruit. We also detected hints of stony minerality, honeydew melon and herbal tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with baked Dover sole, asparagus risotto, or with fried oysters. Enjoy – KWGTP
