Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from Portugal opens with an inviting plum, blackberry, black pepper, and oak bouquet with hints of black raspberry. This wine is medium bodied, smooth, juicy with balanced tannins and bright acidity. The flavor profile is black raspberry, plum, slightly tart black cherry, black pepper, and light oak blend. The finish is pleasant and lingers. I would pair this good value Syrah with baby back rib’s slathered in Sweet Baby Ray’s rib sauce. – Joe
