On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is an extracted blackberry with notes of old oak, and some minerality, black pepper, blueberry, and plum. The finish is dry and its flavors and dusty tannins stick around for a while after the wine is gone. This wine would pair well with braised short ribs.
