Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah was recently recommended by our tasting panel via our big blind tasting. It opens with a mild blueberry bouquet with hints of black cherry and menthol. On the palate, it was medium bodied, balanced, and approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle, yet tasty blueberry. There were also notes of cherry detected as well. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins linger slightly. The panel would pair this offering with duck with a plum sauce or herb encrusted lamb Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Syrah vintage in the Santa Lucia Highlands was, quite simply, fantastic. The wines produced from this area in 2007 are some the finest wines we have produced under the Novy label. And, quite frankly, the Garys’ Vineyard may be the best of the bunch.
