Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from the Bacigalupi Vineyard opens with a black raspberry, blackberry and saddle leather bouquet with hints of wood smoke and lingonberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, very smooth, mouthwatering, and savory. The flavor profile is stewed black plum and smoked cedar blend with notes of lingonberry and cinnamon. WE also detected hints of ginger, clove, and triple sec. The finish is dry, and its tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this Zin with a Carolina pulled pork platter. Enjoy - KWGTP
