2007 Pedroncelli Petite Sirah![]() Winery: Pedroncelli Vintage: 2007 Wine Name/Vineyard: Wine Category: Petite Sirah Grape blend: 80% Petite Sirah & 20% Syrah Region: Dry Creek Valley State or country: CA Price: $15 Cases produced: 970 KWG Score: 89 (based on 2 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (88) Review date: August 7, 2010 Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored wine opens with a blueberry and black cherry bouquet with a hint of smoke. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and soft. The flavor profile is a gentle plum and oak blend with a touch of chocolate mixed in. The finish is quite dry and its building tannins are sticky and lengthy. The panels suggested pairing this wine with a big rack of fatty barbecue ribs. Enjoy – KWGTP Winemaker Notes: Opaque purple in the glass. The wine is rich with ripe blackberry, black pepper and chocolate aromas. It contains very deep and complex flavors with a lasting finish braced by medium tannins. It has the structure to age well over many years. Decant if desired.
