Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot opens with an anise and old oak bouquet with a hint of blackberry and cherry Jolly Ranchers. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black plum with hints of cedar plank, mulberry, and rhubarb. The finish is dry and its subtle tannins are mild. The panel suggested serving this Aussie Merlot with coq au vin or tea smoked duck. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red in colour with a bright hue. The bouquet is rich and complex with hints of violets, plums, a touch of spice and savoury fruitcake elements. The French oak is restrained and well integrated. Medium bodied with a strong mid palate of mulberry and savoury forest underbrush flavours. The texture is soft with integrated smoky vanilla French oak, finishing with a refined smooth tannin structure.

Organic status: not organic
