Wine Review: This white gold colored Champagne from Perrier Jouet is Very Good. It opens with a bread dough and wet stone like bouquet with a hint of grapefruit. On the palate, this Champagne is light bodied, slightly acidic, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a very tasty green apple and grapefruit with nicely integrated minerality and toasted almond. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This Champagne would be a perfect aperitif for you holiday parties and will prove to be a crowd pleaser. I would pair it with oysters on the half shell.
