Wine Review: This midnight violet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Pina finished in second place in our first blind tasting of high end reds. We awarded the 2014 "Wolff Vineyard" Cab with 93 points. It opens with a blueberry muffin and black cherry bouquet with hints of vanilla oak and plum. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, velvety and smooth. The flavor profile is a blueberry preserves and acai berry blend with notes of oak, chocolate, and black currant. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this yummy Cab with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
