Wine Review: An elegant and crisp sparkling blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir from Sonoma County is a pale golden yellow color with nice small streaming bubbles in the glass. It has a delicate bouquet which includes graham cracker, baked pear, green apple, nutmeg, and ginger. On the palate it is lush, slightly creamy, moderately foamy, well balanced, medium bodied and moderately acidic. I found flavors of green apple, crushed stone, lemon, and toast. The finish is refreshing and lingers for a while, with light minerality. Serve chilled with crisp fried oysters. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: Piper Sonoma Brut has a pale gold color, petite bubbles, and a rich, creamy texture. Primarily composed of Chardonnay, with some Pinot Noir, our Brut is dry and fresh, with a long, elegant finish, possessing crisp citrus flavors with hints of green apple, mandarin orange and brioche. Delicious on its own or the perfect foundation for memorable mimosas and other classic sparkling cocktails. This sparkling wine pairs perfectly with crab cakes or sushi.
