2010 Ponzi Pinot Noir "Tavola"![]() Winery: Ponzi Vintage: 2010 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Tavola" Wine Category: Pinot Noir Grape blend: 100% Pinot Noir Region: Willamette Valley State or country: OR Price: $25 Cases produced: 5,900 KWG Score: 89.7 (based on 4 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (88) Review date: September 9, 2012 Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Oregon Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant black raspberry and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, easy to drink and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black raspberry jam with notes of gentle old oak and nicely integrated plum. I also detected a hint of black pepper. The finish is dry and its fine tannins linger for a little while. This Pinot Noir is food friendly and would pair well with five fruit stuffed chicken. Enjoy - Ken Winemaker Notes: This fragrant nose of black cherry, brown sugar brulee and vanilla leads to a mouth of fresh red plums. The sweet middle leads to a silky, seamless finish that lingers with spice. - Winemaker Luisa Ponzi Organic status: not organic Buy it: Use 1000 Corks to find stores that sell Ponzi 2010 Tavola Pinot Noir.
