Wine Review: This opaque and very dark colored Malbec opens with a blueberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black currant with notes of oak. I also detected some blackberry and blueberry in the background. The finish is dry and its well managed dusty tannins fade away nicely. This Malbec displays both New World and Old World characteristics. That increases the intrigue of this wine. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: A rich violet hue, the 2010 Malbec opens with an alluring nose of lush red fruit, ripe plums, earth, and blackberries. The palate offers spicy, savory notes, robust tannins, and an intense mouthfeel that seamlessly rounds out the finish. This wine pairs well with a variety of heavier fare and will offer a daily respite for lovers of Cabernet Sauvignon and other full-bodied red wines.
