Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Red Newt opens with light wax and floral bouquet with hints of honeydew melon and ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, gentle, smooth, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is gentle lime and green apple blend with notes of saline and white tea. We also detected some hints of pineapple and wet stone. The finish is dry, extended and refreshing. The Tasting Panel would serve this Riesling with broiled sea scallops or a stuffed quahog. Enjoy – KWGTP
