Wine Review: This maraschino cherry red colored wine from the Finger Lakes opens with a tangerine and strawberry bouquet with hints of watermelon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tart red plum and saline blend with notes of maraschino cherry and chalky minerality. I also detected hints of watermelon, lime zest and white tea. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors linger for quite some time. I would pair this Rose with the beach. With food, try it with a crab cocktail. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: True to form, the goal every vintage is to make a crisp, dry, and acid-driven expression of Cabernet Franc rosé from the Nutt Road Vineyard. With 72-hours cold soaking prior to pressing, the aim is to overlay bright fruit and intense color on a focused and structured core; ideally this is more than a summer-sipper. The fruit source and winemaking for this wine has remained rock solid since the 2013 vintage, and we are glad it has found the consumers and supporters who respond to this style. Lovely fruit and hints of minerality this wine is drinking beautifully now and will continue to age with grace.
