Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend opens with a mild Dr. Pepper bouquet with mild red raspberry and a touch of gentle oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused red currant with hints of black raspberry and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and subtle. This wine is food friendly and would pair perfectly with baked lasagna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Spicy and wild, this wine will have you howling at the harvest moon in no time. Your primitive hunter instincts will be tickled awake by the whiff of crushed stones, red berries, roses, and something deliciously gamey. Rich, round and smooth with fine tannins and bright acid, the taste of pomegranate might be enough to tame the beast, but the kick of massive spice, very dark chocolate, and fine expresso flavors packs a bigger punch than Beowulf.
