It is a dark ruby colored Cab and opens with a musty oak and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and polished. The flavor profile is an oak infused boysenberry with notes of bacon and black currant. The finish is quite dry and its moderate tannins are persistent. I felt this is a Cab that Old World fans would really appreciate. It would be a perfect match with beef bourguignon.
