| 2007 Robert Foley Petite Sirah Winery: Robert Foley Vintage: 2007 Wine Name/Vineyard: Wine Category: Petite Sirah Grape blend: 100% Petite Sirah Region: Napa Valley State or country: CA Price: $60 Cases produced: 500 KWG Score: 95.2 (based on 4 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Excellent (94) Review date: August 16, 2010 Wine Review: This excellent Petite Sirah from Robert Foley is clearly the best Petite I have covered in a while. It is opaque and very dark purple colored. It opens with a moderate black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very well balanced, and smooth as silk. The flavor profile is a very tasty black raspberry with notes of licorice. I also detected a hint of blueberry and mild oak in the background. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins are lengthy and drift away nicely. I found that this Petite Sirah has an unbelievable mouthfeel. If you are a Petite Sirah fan, this wine is a must try. Pair it with filet mignon and enjoy.
