Wine Review: This light yellow colored Spatlese opens with inviting sweet tea like bouquet with a hint of tangerine. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, sweet and savory. The flavor profile is lemon with infused oolong tea and orange and a hint of thyme. The finish remains sweet and its flavors linger for a long time. This is a perfect sipping Riesling to serve with pan-fried scallops with balsamic glaze. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color: Bright, vibrant gold with green reflections Aroma: Stone fruit (such as white peaches, apricots), lemon, pineapple. Taste: Stone fruit flavors round out a full-bodied, balanced, exquisite wine with distinct mineral and flint nuances. Serving Suggestions: Delicious with lobster, shrimp and spicy Thai-style dishes, as well as blue cheeses, creamy cheeses, apple pie and fresh fruit.

Organic status: not organic

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
