Wine Review: This deep purple colored Syrah opens with gentle black currant bouquet with hints of smoke, vanilla oak, black licorice, and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, round, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild black currant, boysenberry, and mineral blend with notes of cinnamon, anise, and spice. We also detected a hint of tea in the mix. The finish is dry and its tingly refined tannins last for quite a while. The Tasting Panel would pair this versatile and crowd-pleasing Syrah in the near term with smoked brisket or a charcuterie board. Enjoy – KWGTP
