Wine Review: This dark red colored "Chianti Classico Riserva" from San Felice opens with a black cherry and violet bouquet with hints of mild salami and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright and fresh for a red. The flavor profile is a graphite, cedar, and black cherry with notes of oolong tea and capers. I also detected hints of green olive. The finish is very dry, and its dusty tannins linger for quite some time. This "Chianti Classico Riserva" would pair well with an antipasto platter with lots of cheeses. Enjoy - Ken
