Wine Review: This dark straw colored sparkling wine from Schramsberg opens lots of random medium bubbles. The bouquet features mild bread dough and hazelnut bouquet with a hint of apple. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, a little frothy and easy going. The flavor profile is a lemon and chalky minerality blend with notes of lime, and green apple. I also detected hints of white pepper and almond. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. I would enjoy this crowd pleasing sparkler with scallop appetizers. Enjoy – Ken
