Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine from Sean Thackrey is Excellent! It opens with a fragrant and inviting ripe blueberry and boysenberry bouquet with a hint of clove. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious complex blend of boysenberry jam with notes of plum, oak and black raspberry. It also displays nicely integrated gentle minerality and a touch of blueberry. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins drift away nicely. This was the opening wine for a recent business dinner I attended. It was a winner with everyone. I would suggest serving it with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
