Wine Review: This cherry red colored Pinot opens with a mild oak infused strawberry bouquet with a hint of cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very nicely balanced, and smooth with gentle acidity. The flavor profile is a very tasty red cherry with a touch of strawberry, oak, and black pepper mixed in. The finish is dry and its nicely integrated fine tannins provide a soft landing. The panel thought this tasty Pinot would pair well with seasoned pork tenderloin or eggplant parmigianna. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2008 Siduri Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir is a blend of 24% Clone 777, 24% Pisoni Selection, 24% Pommard, and 28% 828 Clone. We utilized whole clusters on all the clones except for the 828 and fermented with primarily indigenous yeasts. The grapes came in at near perfect levels of flavor, sugar, acid, and concentration, so there was no need to adjust anything. (If only every vintage could be like this.) This makes our job much easier. There is a reason while winemakers say 90% of the wine is made in the vineyard. The result of all of these decisions was what we consider to be our best Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir yet!
