It opens with a very attractive boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a savory spicy blueberry with hints of menthol and sage. The finish is rather dry and its noticeable dusty tannins are very persistent and lengthy. This wine would be outstanding with a hearty meal like beef bourguignon.
