Wine Review: This opaque and midnight purple colored Malbec from Susana Balbo opens with smoke, blackberry, and mocha bouquet with a hint of black cherry and faint spearmint. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, bright, and fresh. The flavor profile is blackberry and black cherry blend with notes of oak and black plum. We also detected hints of chalky minerality and a touch of chocolate. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for very long time. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Malbec with New York strip steak or with a Colorado rack of lamb. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: A wine of an intense, ruby red color. It displays aromas of blueberries and blackberries and notes of flowers and licorice. Intense but gentle at the same time, with an elegant finish and round tannins. Pair with red meat, pork, poultry, and stuffed pasta.
