Wine Review: This very dark magenta colored Malbec from Crios opens with black raspberry and moist pipe tobacco bouquet with hints of violets and black currant. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is round, rustic, concentrated, and savory. The flavor profile is stewed plum and blackberry pie blend with notes of cedar and hard black licorice candy. We also detected hints of dark coffee and cherry. The finish is dry, and its flavors and medium tannins are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would suggest decanting this Malbec briefly before pairing it with beef brisket or a mushroom and Swiss bison burger. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This Malbec stands out for its purity, a consequence of being produced with organic techniques and low intervention. Notes of red fruits −especially raspberries− stand out in the nose, while the palate is medium-bodied, with a pleasant finish and very round tannins, which are the contribution of the clay soils of Agrelo. Pair with roasted meats and/or game meats.
