Wine Review: This opaque and very dark purple colored Syrah opens with a boysenberry and black raspberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and rich. The flavor profile is a dusty blackberry and black licorice blend with notes of old oak. I also detected a hint of black plum and touch of black olive. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins show nice length. This Syrah is food friendly and would pair nicely with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2014 is a more classic California Syrah than our previous vintages. The wine shows aromas of tar and dark black and blue fruits, with a floral element providing lift. On the palate this is full weight with super sweet, rich and round tannins. The finish rounds out to a full, complex and completely smooth exit.
