Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from the Live Oak Vineyard opens with a pleasant cigar box bouquet with hints of red cherry and rose petal. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and strawberry blend with notes of cola and oak. We also detected some hints of black pepper mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its medium tannins show wonderful length. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with Scottish salmon or seared scallops with Brussel sprouts. Enjoy - KWGTP
