Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Zinfandel opens with a mild black raspberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of black plum, wet stone, and black olive. On the palate, this wine medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is a stewed black plum, stony minerality, and brambly black raspberry blend with notes of black pepper. I also detected hints of cedar, prune, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its moderate tannins, bold flavors and tingly acidity stick around for quite a while. I would pair this Zin with a Kona encrusted steak. Enjoy – Ken
