Sattui is a bit of a fruit bomb. It opens a little shy with a mild strawberry and black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe black raspberry and red currant jam blend with a touch of black pepper and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build up and stick around for a while. The panel suggested pairing this Zin with a messy rack of fatty barbecue ribs.
