Wine Review: This light pink colored Sparkling Rose is made from 100% Malbec. It displays lots of streaming bubbles and opens with a fragrant strawberry and bread dough bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic and a little frothy. The flavor profile is a pleasant light strawberry and minerality blend with hints of bread dough and lemon. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors linger nicely. I would pair this food friendly and nice sparkler with steamed mussels. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This is our third production of Sparkling Malbec Brut Rose. While it is produced in the traditional Methode Champenoise, the Malbec grape is our own twist. The color is a lustrous pink, brilliant and translucent like a corundum, or pink sapphire. Aromas include Turkish Delight and strawberry cheesecake. Each sip opens up delightful surprises and just three of us quickly came up with so more flavors we could hardly write them all down: Pink grapefruit, quince and hibiscus, cranberries, honeysuckle, magnolias, lychee, pomegranate, bananas, nectarines, honey, water chestnut, breadfruit, custard apple, raspberries, mandarins, agave, lemon zest, malt, wheat germ, Earl Grey tea, apricots, kiwi, and tamarind.
