Wine Review: This wine scored a "Best in Class - Double Gold" award in the 2007 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Tasting event for Chardonnay’s ranging from $20 to $29. As a result, I wanted to try this wine from the Finger Lakes in New York. When a NY wine beats out so many California wines in their own backyard, I felt compelled to try this wine. The wine opens with a huge vanilla bouquet that is quite inviting. On the palate, the wine is really creamy, a touch acidic and wonderfully laced with lots of vanilla cream flavors. If you like vanilla and butter infused Chardonnays you will love this wine. This wine calls for some cream sauce or rich food. You can also enjoy it on its own. The finish is dry and a bit prolonged. I’m finding many Very Good to Excellent Chardonnay’s in New York State and I recommend that you branch out try some of them. There is not much of this beauty so call the winery get some soon. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Elegant fruit aromas are followed by toasty oak notes that highlight the depth of flavor. This extra ordinarily rich and complex wine, soft and round, with beautifully balanced fruit and oak characters, is bold enough to be served with the richest, creamiest cheeses, gravies and sauces.
