Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chard opens with a mild apple like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and crisp. The flavor profile is a tasty green apple and Meyer lemon with a faint hint of very light oak. The finish is dry and very refreshing. This wine was very well received by our friends at dinner. It paired perfectly with our halibut at the Wishing Well Restaurant in Saratoga, NY. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Burgundian in sensibility but with California style is one way of describing Jim Clendenen's Chardonnays- Citrus, stone fruit, smooth, and integrated flavors, creamy and tense, with apricot, apple, and lemon nuances. Barrel fermented and aged in French oak.

Organic status: not organic

Your comments on this wine:

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
