Wine Review: This pale-yellow colored Chardonnay from Black Kite opens with a fragrant bread dough and baked pear bouquet with hints of pineapple and quince. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, smooth and lush. The flavor profile is green apple and Bosc pear blend with notes of white pepper, moderate oak, and cantaloupe. We also detected some hints of pineapple and almond butter. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with Chicken St. Timothy or a seafood casserole. Enjoy – KWGTP
