Wine Review: This deep yellow colored Chardonnay from DAOU opens with a light lemon and faint oak bouquet with hints of apricot, toasted almond, pear, and melon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, lush, and polished. The flavor profile is an oak influenced green apple and almond blend with notes of spice. We also detected some hints of honey, banana crème pie and lemon squares. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with a stone crab cocktail or with Lobster Newburg. Enjoy - KWGTP
